Miller Earns MAC Accolades

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan's Kevin Miller received All-Mid-American Conference honorable mention and was named to the MAC All-Freshman Team today.
Miller, a 6-foot guard from Chicago, leads the Chippewas in scoring at 13.5 points per game and ranks third in the league with 4.5 assists per game.
Miller has scored in double figures in 19 games this season. He scored a career-high 25 vs. Ohio (2/10) and has scored at least 20 points in four other games. Miller ranks 14th in the MAC in free throw percentage (.779) and 15th in 3-point field goal percentage (.365).
Miller, who has started all but two of the Chippewas' games this season, turned in his breakout performance in a 78-74 win vs. Bowling Green (2/1). In that game, he scored 21 points and dished out a career-high 12 assists and finished with six rebounds, one shy of his career best.
Miller's 12 assists vs. the Falcons marks a season high for a MAC player this season. His 10-assist performance vs. Ball State stands as the second-highest total by a league player this season. Four other players in the MAC have also had a 10-assist game this season.
Miller and his teammates take on Toledo in the quarterfinals of the MAC Tournament on Thursday at 11 a.m. The game is at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio, CMU first appearance in Cleveland since 2019.
