Women's Golf 10th At Penn State Tournament

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Casilda Allendesalazar and Ashley Goh both shot 2-over 74 on Sunday to lead the Central Michigan women's golf team at the Penn State Nittany Lion Invitational on the Penn State Blue Course.
Allendesalazar finished with a 5-over 221 total in the 54-hole stroke-play event. She finished among a group tied for 17th in the 92-player field. Goh recorded a 9-over 225 to tie for 30th.
The Chippewas posted a 301 team score on Sunday to finish with a 906 total and in 10th place in the 16-team event.
Also for the Chippewas on Sunday, Claudia Salvador shot 76, Padgett Chitty shot 77, and Mackenzie Baustad carded an 83.
Chitty finished with a 227 total and in a tie for 36th player, while Salvador finished at 233 and Baustad at 247.
Toledo's Amelia Lee closed with a 2-under par 70 to finish with a 7-under 209 total and earn medalist honors. She finished four shots ahead of runner-up Hannay Lydic of Richmond.
Host Penn State shot a 290 team total on Sunday to finish with a tournament-winning 861 total. Kennesaw State was second, 16 shots behind.
The Chippewas are scheduled to play in the Shirley Spork EMU Invitational on Oct. 3-4 at Eagle Crest Golf Course in Ypsilanti.
