Football Home Opener 2022: Tailgate Guidelines

As Central Michigan entertains South Alabama at Kelly/Shorts Stadium on Saturday – 1 p.m. kickoff – there are several aspects pertinent for tailgating fans seeking to enjoy a day at the stadium.
• The new student tailgate lot is located in Lot 63 East and begins four hours before kickoff. Music will be provided by disc jockeys from the Wayside and O'Kelley's.
• The Chippewa Athletic Fund tailgate for members at the Athletic Director level ($500 and above) begins two hours prior to kickoff of Saturday home games. Cost is $20 per person and catering is provided by Texas Roadhouse and Max and Emily's. Members can call 989-774-2174 to reserve their space.
• CMU fans can reserve space on Alumni Island through the home season for pre-game tailgating. Reservations can be made by calling Brent Neubecker in the Chippewa Athletic Fund office at 989-774-1947.
