LaPoint reaches single-season top-ten list in saves for second time in her career, ties single-match high of eight in the contest
The Chippewas (2-6-6, 1-5-3 MAC) fell behind on a first-minute score, and the first of two in the first half, from the Falcons' (8-5-2, 6-1-2 MAC) Maya Dean.
Jaelyn Dobrowolski (Traverse City, Mich. / TC West) notched her second goal of the season in the 81st minute of play to break up Bowling Green's bid at a shutout, preserving Buffalo's 5-0 loss to Ball State (Oct. 8) as the lone five-goal margin in MAC play this season.
With her eighth save, Allison LaPoint (Royal Oak, Mich. / Shrine Catholic) tied her career-high for a single match a third time this season and marked her second appearance in Central Michigan's top-ten single-season performances all-time—73 saves thus far—as her 80 stops from the 2021 spring season ranks seventh. LaPoint is also already sixth in the career category with 176.
Central Michigan Soccer hosts Northern Illinois Sunday (Oct. 22) for the 2023 home finale at the CMU Soccer Complex.
