
Korba Earns Setter of the Year, Rejment, Olin, Thomas and Langton Also Earn Postseason Awards

Seven Chippewas were named to various All-MAC teams following the conclusion of the 2024 season as Allie Korba grabbed the first Setter of the Year title in program history.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Five Central Michigan volleyball players received All-Mid-American Conference honors on Wednesday as the league released its all-conference teams and specialty award winners.
CMU setter Allie Korba and outside hitter Natalia Rejment were named to the All-MAC First Team; middle blockers Abby Olin and Grace Thomas each earned a spot on the second team; and Thomas along with libero Hannah Langton were named to the all-freshman team.
The five Chippewas combined for a program-record seven individual awards. The previous high, set in 2022, was five.
Korba, a junior from Arlington Heights, Ill., earned the league's Setter of the Year Award, becoming the first player in CMU history to achieve that honor.
Korba tallied 796 assists in CMU's 18 MAC matches and the Chippewas posted a team .258 hitting percentage with five attackers, a remarkably high number, averaging at least 2.3 kills per set.
Rejment, a junior from Rzeszow, Poland, posted six double-doubles in league matches with 199 kills, 219 digs and 29 aces; Olin was among the top 10 in the MAC with a .376 hitting percentage with 183 kills and 62 blocks, 22 of them solos; Thomas also ranked in the top 10 in the league with a .362 hitting percentage with 163 kills and 55 blocks; Langton was the backbone of CMU's defense and passing system, posting 270 digs along with 261 receptions.
The Chippewas, who finished 15-3 and in second place in the MAC, are the No. 2 in the league tournament which begins on Friday at Bowling Green. CMU is set to play either No. 3 Ball State or No. 6 Toledo on Saturday in a semifinal match; the final is set for Sunday.
