The 2024 Central Michigan graduate and former All-Mid-American Conference honoree will join Head Coach Emilia Ward for the 2025 campaign
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Central Michigan Lacrosse added Avery Wagnon, 2024 graduate of the program and second-team All-Mid-American Conference selection, to its coaching staff for the 2025 season Friday.
Â
"So excited to have Avery back with the program," Head Coach Emilia Ward said. "She brings such great insight to our defensive and draw units."
Â
Wagnon will have a hand in a unit that returns 2024 MAC Goalie of the Year Alexa Martel, All-MAC first-teamer Jozy Allen and MAC All-Freshman defender Ava Regitz.
Â
The Humble, Texas-native graduated seventh in program history in caused turnovers, 10th in ground balls and 12th in draw controls. She appeared in 56 games across her four-year career.
Â
Central Michigan won its first outright MAC regular season title in 2024 to host the league tournament for the second time in three years, which marked the fourth regular season or tournament title for the Chippewas in three years of championship play in the Mid-American Conference.
Â
Central Michigan Lacrosse will open the 2025 home schedule Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. against Marquette; the full schedule for the 2025 season will be announced soon.
