
Four Chippewa Volleyball Players Earn CSC Academic All-District

Volleyball lands four on the all-around recognition awarded annually by College Sports Communicators
GREENWOOD, Ind. – College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its annual Academic All-District listing on Tuesday afternoon featuring four Central Michigan Volleyball players.
To qualify for this award, a student-athletes must hold a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher. Athletically, volleyball student-athletes must have either competed in 90 percent of their team's contests for the season or started at least 66 percent of the team's matches.
Alina Anderson (Rockford, Mich./Ferris State/Rockford), 3.65, Accounting
Krystina Kasson (Kalamazoo, Mich./Hackett Catholic Prep), 3.92, Marketing
Allie Korba (Arlington Heights, Ill./John Hersey), 3.83, Political Science
Abby Olin (Coopersville, Mich./Michigan State/Coopersville), 3.98, Mechanical Engineering
Tuesday's announcement marked the 12th through 15th CSC Academic All-District selections for CMU Volleyball, the first for each of the four Chippewas and the most in a season in program history.
Korba, named the first ever MAC Setter of the Year for Central Michigan, ended the season with 1,137 assists, good for 12th best in a single season. Korba earned MAC Setter of the Week twice in the 2024 season.
Abby Olin earned Second Team All-MAC for the Chippewas and was named MAC Defensive Player of the Week one time as well, while also earning a spot on the 2024 All-Tournament Team for the MAC Tournament. Olin set the program record for single season solo blocks with 36. Her 115 total blocks on the season are best for 7th best in a single season.
