Two-hour Sunday afternoon practice session is the third of 15 spring workouts.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.—The Central Michigan Football program finished its third practice of 2024 spring drills with another two-hour session Sunday afternoon at the Indoor Athletic Center Turf Bay.
Like the first two days, the Chippewa football players wore helmets and shoulder pads. CMU started practice with individual position drills, open field blocking drills, and stretching. The team went to 7-on-7 offense vs. defense drills, wide receivers vs. defensive backs and offensive line vs. defensive line, then back to more position drills. The team also went through special teams blocking drills. Following special teams, the Chippewas scrimmaged 11-on-11 offense vs. defense and concluded the day with a two-minute drill.
Sunday's practice marks the third of 15 total spring sessions, including two scrimmages, including one scheduled for Saturday, April 13. The Chippewas will take a day off and practice again on Tuesday.
