Volleyball Announces 2024 Mid-American Conference Schedule

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Central Michigan Volleyball has released their Mid-American Conference schedule for the 2024 season. The schedule includes 18 conference games, nine home games and nine away games. For the 2024 season, the MAC has decided to part ways with having two divisions in the conference which shifts the alignment of which teams play each other, how often.

The Chippewas will open conference play when they head to Oxford, Ohio to face Miami (OH) on Thursday, September 26^th and then again on Friday, September 27^th. CMU will head back to McGuirk arena after the road trip to host Eastern Michigan for the home opener on October 1^st and will host Ball State the 4^th and 5^th of October.

Two road games, back-to-back at Toledo then Bowling Green on October 10^th and 11^th will happen before the Chippewas host in-state rival and defending MAC Champions, Western Michigan on October 17^th before facing the NIU Huskies on the 18^th in Mount Pleasant. Buffalo will then come to town for two matches on the 25^th and 26^th.

CMU will have a three-game road stretch as they head to Athens, Ohio to take on the Bobcats of Ohio University in two matches, November 1^st and 2^nd. The travel partner, Eastern Michigan will be next when the Chippewas travel to Ypsilanti on November 5^th.

The final home games of the season will come as CMU hosts Kent State on November 8^th and 9^th before their final road games at Akron on the 15^th and 16^th.
