Sabourin, Turner Named Second Team All-MAC

The pair of seniors each earned silver medals, Sabourin in 400h and Turner in 3000m Steeple, at the 2024 MAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Central Michigan Track and Field seniors Payton Sabourin and Anya Turner have been named Second Team All-MAC for their performances at the 2024 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the MAC announced on Wednesday.
Sabourin, a senior transfer from Oakland, placed 2nd in the 400 meter hurdles on Saturday after winning the qualifying race on Thursday.
Turner, a redshirt senior from Farmington, Mich., ran the 3000m steeplechase in 10:13.78, which not only earned her the 2nd place medal, but also broke the CMU program record in the event.
Turner and Sabourin are both in the hunt for qualification for the NCAA Regionals in their respective events, which will take place from May 22-25 in Lexington, Ky.
