
2024 Soccer Promotional Schedule Announced

The Chippewas offer a loaded promotional slate for 2024
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — The promotional schedule for the 2024 Central Michigan Soccer season is here!

All season long, there will be pre-game high five tunnels to welcome the Chippewas to the pitch, postgame penalty kicks on the field and all Sunday games will feature a Kids Zone with a bounce house and coloring station. There will be a miniature CMU Soccer ball toss to fans in the stands during pre-game introductions and after the Chippewas' goals.

SENIOR DAY – vs. Detroit Mercy (Aug. 8)
The Chippewas will recognize its 15-player senior class prior to the exhibition contest against the Titans.

BACK TO SCHOOL BASH – vs. Cincinnati (Aug. 25)
With classes set to begin for Mount Pleasant Public Schools and CMU, the Chippewas will host a school supply drive for their regular-season home-opener, donations to the drive will be given a Fire Up Chips button. The first 100 fans to arrive will receive a free ice cream sandwich, all fans will receive a Fire Up Chips pen.

FIELD DAY WITH CMU SOCCER (Sept. 7)
In cooperation with Mount Pleasant Soccer Club, Mount Pleasant Public Schools and Mount Pleasant City Parks & Recreation, join the Chippewas on Kramer/Deromedi Field at Kelly/Shorts Stadium for an evening of light-hearted fun! This free event will include autographs, a kids' zone with inflatables, soccer stations and scrimmages led by the players and then a movie played on the videoboard in the stadium. The concessions stand will also be available for attendees' convenience. Participation with the team is restricted to ages 13 and under.

SUICIDE PREVENTION AWARENESS WEEK – vs. Wisconsin-Green Bay (Sept. 8)
The week of September 8-14 is Suicide Prevention Awareness week, which will be recognized at home events for CMU Soccer, Volleyball and Field Hockey during the week. Fans will receive teal & purple ribbon stickers, information on the cause will be available at Fan Central at the CMU Soccer Complex.

FALL FARM FEST – vs. Akron (Sept. 22)
To commemorate the first day of fall, CMU Soccer will host an interactive seasonal experience. Fans will have the opportunity to pet "Chip the Calf", receive free cartons of milk & cheese, post-game autographs and other fun fall activities.

HOOLIGANS DAY – vs. Western Michigan (Sept. 29)
Chippewa fans will receive a cow bell upon arrival and be expected to make as much noise as possible as CMU takes on archrival Western Michigan. Students will be encouraged to gather behind the Broncos' goal and be their hooligan selves.

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS / NEON NIGHT – vs. Ball State (Oct. 10)
As the lead-in for CMU's Homecoming weekend, fans will receive glow sticks, LED foam sticks and will have neon paint available to show their school spirit. All fans are encouraged to wear neon clothing in attendance. Again, students will be encouraged to gather behind the visiting goal. The Chippewas will also take the opportunity to raise awareness for the fight against breast cancer, wearing neon pink warmup gear as part of the effort.

MAROON OUT / MOST VALUABLE PROFESSOR APPRECIATION – vs. Bowling Green (Oct. 18)
Chippewa fans will be asked to wear all their maroon when the Falcons come to town for the lone Friday match of the season. Those in attendance will receive maroon pompoms upon arrival. At halftime against the Falcons, CMU professors, handpicked by the players, will be brought out to the field with a personalized message from the Chippewas!

MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS – vs. Miami (OH) (Oct. 24)
The Chippewas will wear ribbons during pregame warmups, fans can receive free stress balls upon entry as Central Michigan aims to raise awareness in the fight for mental health.

GHOULS & GOALS – vs. Buffalo (Oct. 31)
To close out the regular season, CMU Soccer will celebrate Halloween with themed giveaways, a student costume contest at halftime, a pumpkin decorating station and a themed playlist throughout the match!
