The 14th annual Hoops for Hunger contest will feature the Chippewas seeking their first three-game MAC streak since 2021

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan Women's Basketball hosts Kent State Wednesday (11 a.m. ET) for the 14th annual Hoops for Hunger event. The Chippewas have won three of their last four in Mid-American Conference play for the first time since 2021, having defeated Miami (OH), Akron and Eastern Michigan in the last two weeks.

HOOPS FOR HUNGER: Central Michigan Women's Basketball will invite local school districts for a field trip to McGuirk Arena for the 14^th edition of Hoops for Hunger. Children in attendance will receive Hoops for Hunger stickers prior to the game and are encouraged to bring their outside voices to cheer on the Chippewas. The annual food drive contest will aid the Greater Lansing Food Bank, as thousands of pounds of food have been donated through the contest each year. The contest ends December 1.
