2025 Softball Promotional Schedule Released

Central Michigan Softball entertains six different teams for home slates in the 2025 season with five MAC series.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The 2025 Central Michigan Softball promotional schedule was released featuring themes, giveaways and community outreach opportunities through the entirety of the season.
CMU is slated to host six opponents at home, including five MAC series and a mid-week non-conference match-up with Detroit Mercy.
The home season starts for CMU on March 21-22 when the team hosts Akron.
All games are free admission to all spectators and are held at Margo Jonker Stadium on campus.
HOME OPENER WEEKEND – vs. Akron (March 21-22)
Both days of the first home series for the Chippewas will feature giveaways of hand warmers to all fans – as the weekend is expected to be chilly!
On Saturday, fans will receive a free trading card of senior Samantha Souva to kick off the giveaway series. The other trading cards for the four seniors will be distributed at other home games throughout the season; so fans will want to attend all games to collect them all.
"K" CARD GIVEAWAYS – vs. WESTERN MICHIGAN (April 1) & DETROIT MERCY (April 2)
When the Chippewas host in-state rival Western Michigan and the lone non-conference game of the season, fans will receive "K" cards to celebrate strikeouts from the CMU pitching staff.
PINK SERIES – vs. KENT STATE (April 11-12)
The annual Pink Weekend is back for another year for Team 47 and will feature an array of fun activities for fans throughout the celebration weekend.
On Friday, April 11th, CMU will be giving away "In my Central Michigan Softball Era" bracelets to fans in alliance with fun activities on Taylor Swift's famous "Eras Tour" that just finished. The day will also feature Taylor Swift songs throughout the day, and celebratory Swift walk-up songs for the student-athletes.
For the Saturday double header against the Golden Flash, the CMU Softball program will play their breast cancer awareness game.
There will be oink pom-poms free to fans, awareness ribbons, stickers, special edition pink "K" cards, and the second of the senior trading card series, Madelyn Wallace.
Fans are encouraged to wear pink for the entirety of the weekend to celebrate the weekend and enjoy CMU Softball.
STAFF & FACULTY APPRECIATION DAY – vs. BOWLING GREEN (April 18)
CMU Softball recognizes the staff and faculty of Central Michigan University yearly at a game to show the appreciation and dedication that the members have to the university and their impact on the student-athletes in their time at CMU.
Each student-athlete selects a member to walk with them in recognition pre-game and delivers a personal gift to the member.
EASTER EGG-STRAVAGANZA / ALUMNI DAY – vs. BOWLING GREEN (April 19)
Kicking off Easter Weekend, the Chippewa Softball Team will be hosting an Easter egg hunt for the youth in the community after the double header against Bowling Green with a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny.
The game is marked to start at 1 p.m. at Margo Jonker Stadium.
On this same day, the program will be celebrating the alumni of the program, including a special recognition of the 2005 team that was Mid-American Conference Champions for the 20th anniversary.
Fans can collect the third trading card of the senior series: Allyssa Hollo, at the game as well.
MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS – vs. Ohio (April 25)
Central Michigan Softball preaches the importance of mental health in the program and intends to celebrate it during their game against Ohio.
There will be green CMU brain shaped stress balls for a free give away to fans and green awareness stickers and ribbons.
CMU Student-athlete Leadership and Development are set to plan engagements with on-campus partners to extend outreach and showcase awareness resources.

The CMU Softball Program graduates four seniors at the conclusion of the 2025 series in Samantha Souva, Madelyn Wallace, Allyssa Hollo and Maddie Springer.
The seniors will be celebrated at the conclusion of the double header against the Bobcats and the final trading card of the series, Maddie Springer, will be the giveaway for fans.
