Five Chippewa Softball Players Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan Softball had five student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Rachel Cairo, Brooklyn Compau, Grace Koenig, Carly Sleeman and Keira Tolmie were the five who earned the academic honor.

The sophomore student-athletes are listed below with the major and GPA.
Rachel Cairo, Sport Management, 3.58
Brooklyn Compau, Special Education & Elementary Education (3^rd-6^th grade), 3.77
Grace Koenig, Mechanical Engineering, 3.69
Carly Sleeman, Sport Management, 3.74
Keira Tolmie, Biomedical Sciences – Cellular and Molecular Biology, 3.95

As a team, CMU Softball posted a 3.59 GPA for the spring term, a 3.63 GPA for the 2024-25 academic year, had 22 student-athletes with a 3.0 GPA or higher, 18 with. 3.5 GPA or higher, and five student-athletes earend a 4.0 for the semester.
