Central Michigan Announces 2025 Football Promotions Schedule

Promotional themes set before Central Michigan’s five home football games in 2025; Chippewas to play four home games on Saturdays.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.—Central Michigan Athletics announced its annual promotions schedule for its 2025 home football games on Wednesday morning. Each game has a promotional theme and CMU's full schedule is posted at this link.
Central Michigan's 2025 home football schedule features five games at Kramer/Deromedi Field at Kelly/Shorts Stadium. Four of those games are scheduled on Saturdays with only one weeknight MACtion game.
Here is a look at the promotional themes for each game:
Saturday, Sept. 20, vs. Wagner, 1 p.m. ET
Traditions Day/Educator Appreciation/Home Opener
As part of Traditions Day, members of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe will perform its annual pre-game tribal drum ceremony. The SCIT tribal council and CMU's flag officers will be recognized during the game, in addition to the presentation of multiple awards, including CMU's National Alumni and 10 Within 10 Awards, the Go Teach Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway, and the CFP Extra Yard for Teachers Award. The contest will also feature an Educator Appreciation ticket promotion as professors and teachers with a school ID can receive one free general admission ticket with the purchase of a ticket. This offer is only available at the ticket booth on game day. "Beat Wagner" buttons and 2025 CMU Football schedule magnets will be available at Fan Central.
Saturday, Sept. 27, vs. Eastern Michigan, TBA
CMU & You Day/Family & Friends Weekend/Band Day/Hall of Fame
As Central Michigan's Mid-American Conference opener, the Chippewas will host CMU & You Day/Family & Friends Weekend/Band Day and the Marcy Weston CMU Athletics Hall of Fame ceremony. CMU & You Day will take place on the Central Michigan University campus, with participants and their families invited to attend the football game. CMU students are encouraged to invite their families to campus for Family & Friends Weekend, organized by Family Central. The Family & Friends ticket bundle includes a $25 general admission ticket with a food voucher for hot dog, popcorn, and drink. For its 71st annual Band Day celebration, Central Michigan's Marching Band invites high school band students and their parents to campus from across the state. CMU Athletics Hall of Fame honorees will be recognized at halftime. On Friday evening, CMU Athletics will recognize this prestigious 2025 Athletic Hall of Fame class during a ceremony in McGuirk Arena (6 p.m, free admission). Additional presentations include the recognition of CMU Athletics' prestigious Boyden and Enberg Award recipients. Fans can pick up "Beat EMU" buttons and Maroon & Gold pompoms at Fan Central.
Saturday, Oct. 25, vs. Massachusetts, TBA
2025 Homecoming Game
In a yearly tradition which began on Nov. 22, 1924, Central Michigan will celebrate the 101st anniversary of its first Homecoming Game when it hosts new MAC member UMass. Multiple groups will be recognized during the game, including the Homecoming Grand Marshals, the 2025 MAC champion Central Michigan gymnastics team, Chippewa Athletic Fund 1896 Club members, and Maroon & Gold Ambassadors. On Saturday morning before kickoff, Central Michigan will host its annual Homecoming parade. A variety of other on-campus Homecoming events will be announced by the university at a later date. Stay tuned for more details. Fans can stop at Fan Central to pick up "Beat UMass" buttons and rally towels.
Wednesday, Nov. 12, vs. Buffalo, 7 p.m. ET
Community Night
For Community Night, the Chippewas will host Buffalo for its first and only MACtion game of the 2025 season. Fans will be encouraged to submit nominations to recognize local community members for their efforts in supporting our CMU and Mount Pleasant communities: this process will be announced at a later date. CMU will also host a Military Appreciation ticket promotion as $15 general admission tickets will be available for all active-duty military personnel and veterans with a valid military ID. The promotion is only available at the ticket booths on game day. CMU's student-athlete letterwinners will also be recognized. "Beat Buffalo" buttons will be distributed to fans.
Saturday, Nov. 29, vs. Toledo, TBA
Senior Celebration/Youth Day
Central Michigan will celebrate Senior Day when it hosts Toledo for its final regular season game. The Chippewas will honor their football Senior Class in a pre-game ceremony. As part of Youth Day, two free general admission tickets for kids aged 12 and under are available with the purchase of an adult general admission ticket (offer available at ticket booths on game day only). Youth can also partake in a pre-game high-five tunnel as the Chippewas take the field and take home a free CMU Football drawstring bag, available at Fan Central. "Beat Toledo" buttons will also be available at Fan Central for all fans.
The Kids' Zone, located on the North side of the stadium near the Chippewa Champions Center, will open three hours before each game. It includes bounce houses, yard games, face painting (all games except Nov. 12), and coloring station. Fans are encouraged to stop by Fan Central, located inside the main northwest stadium entrances to pick up CMU sport schedule posters and giveaways.

Tickets for two of Central Michigan's 2025 non-conference games, including the Friday, August 29 game San Jose State game ($30.00) and the Saturday, Sept. 6 game at Pittsburgh ($20.00) are still on sale until August 15. Tickets for these two games can still be purchased online at www.cmuchippewas.com or by calling the Chippewa Athletic Fund at (989) 774-6680.
