MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Central Michigan Women's Basketball's Nov. 16 home contest with Michigan has been picked up by CBS Sports Network, tip off shifted to 8 p.m. ET, the Mid-American Conference announced Wednesday morning.
"Playing on national TV is a special opportunity for our program and community," Head Coach Kristin Haynie said. "It gives us a chance to showcase the growth of our program, the hard work of our student-athletes, and the incredible support we receive from our fans.
"We're proud to represent our university and our community on a national stage, and we hope this moment brings even more excitement and visibility to women's basketball, not only in our area but all around the nation."
The Monday-night contest will be a Maroon Out for fans in attendance; CMU has opted to wear its road uniform to complete the evening's aesthetic. More information on potential giveaways or attractions will be available within the promotional schedule release later in the preseason.
"We take a lot of pride in defending our home floor, and we're excited to give our fans and community the opportunity to experience these matchups right here in our arena.
"These games are important for the growth and visibility of our program, and we appreciate the opportunity to compete at this level in front of our fans and community."
The Chippewas will battle the Wolverines for the third consecutive season and fifth of the last seven, last hosting Michigan in the 2021-22 campaign.
"Hosting power four programs on our home court is a great opportunity for our team and our university. It allows us to challenge ourselves against high-level competition while showcasing the strength of our program and the environment we've built here.
"We're also grateful to the coaches who have played us, and those that will play us, for being willing to bring their programs to our home court."
Season tickets and parking passes are available through Ticket Central at CMUChippewas.com or by calling the CMU Athletics Ticket Office at (989) 774-3045.
