MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.—For the third consecutive year, members of the Central Michigan Offensive Line have teamed up to raise money for Special Olympics Michigan through its 2026 Polar Plunge initiative. The Central Michigan offensive line is organizing the initiative as a group of Chippewas will take the Polar Plunge on Saturday, February 21 at O'Kelly's/Wayside. Eight more days remain to donate to the cause as the goal is to raise as much money before the players take the plunge next Saturday.
Last year the CMU Offensive Line won the Mount Pleasant challenge and raised over $6,000.
The Polar Plunge is a unique fundraising initiative that invites brave participants to take a chilly dip in local bodies of water during the winter months. Each plunge raises funds to support athletes with intellectual abilities (ID), enabling them to participate in sports training and competitions year-round. More information on the 2026 Plunge is available at this link.
Every year, the Polar Plunge raises millions of dollars for Special Olympics Michigan.
