Langan Named MAC Pitcher of the Week

Mackenzie Langan earned Mid-American Conference Pitcher of the Week after 15 strikeouts and a 1.20 ERA in the opening weekend of MAC play at Bowling Green.
CLEVELAND – For the first time in her career, Mackenzie Langan was named MAC Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.
Mackenzie Langan started MAC play right where she left off in 2025.
Langan started two games for Central Michigan against Bowling Green and aided in securing the first series victory for the Chippewas of conference season. Langan threw a complete game against BGSU in game one allowing just one run – unearned. In that outing, Langan allowed just two hits and struck out seven. On Sunday, the senior secured the victory for CMU with five innings pitched, striking out eight. Over the two games, Langan compiled a 1.20 ERA with one complete game, struck out 15 and held the opponents to a .200 batting average.
The senior from Greenville, Wis. enters the weekend of the home opener with a 3.82 ERA on the season, ranking 5th in the MAC with 11 games started and 5th in the conference with her 49 strikeouts this season. In 2025, the right-hander earned First Team All-MAC honors.
