Bowman Earns MAC Student-Athlete of the Week Award

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Central Michigan's Harrison Bowman was named the Mid-American Conference Male Student-Athlete of the Week Award winner on Thursday by the league office.

Bowman, a junior from Owensboro, Ky., led the CMU baseball team to a MAC series victory over Toledo, hitting .500 (7 for 14) with two doubles and a grand slam.

He finished the weekend with 10 RBI, nine of which came in CMU's 18-7 run-rule victory on Saturday. The nine RBI ties for the second most in CMU's 119-year baseball history.

The right fielder's grand slam ended the Chippewas' 18-7 run-rule victory on Saturday and he delivered a two-out RBI single in the 11^th inning to give CMU a 6-5 walk-off win in Sunday's series finale.

Bowman, who carries a 3.94 grade point average, is working toward his masters of business administration.
