Zanatta Tied for 14th Heading Into Final Round at Banister Classic

GADSDEN, Ala. – Ella Zanatta shot a 5-over par 77 on Monday to lead the Central Michigan women's golf team during the second round of the Chris Banister Classic at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail Silver Lakes Course.
The third and final round of the 54-hole, stroke-play event is scheduled for Tuesday.
Zanatta, who opened with a 3-over 75, is tied for 14th in the 93-player field. She stands at 8-over 152, seven shots behind the leaders.
Zanatta led the Chippewas to a 320 team score. CMU is 14th in the 16-team event with a 36-hole 641 total.
Also for the Chippewas on Monday, Zoe Dull shot a 7-over 79, Lexi Schulman carded an 81, Rachel Niskanen shot 83, Brooke Morris posted an 84, Alexis McMurray shot 86, Lauren Davis posted an 87, and Evanka Shah carded an 88.
Dull is tied for 55th with a 162 total, while Niskanen is tied for 58th at 163, and Morris and Schulman are among a group tied for 74th at 167. McMurray stands at 172, Davis is at 175, and Shah totals 184.
McMurray, Davis and Shah are playing as individuals.
Three players – Tennessee teammates Kyra Van Kan and Thitikarn Thapasit and Chattanooga's Bella Bugg – are tied for first with a 145 total.
The 21st-ranked Volunteers posted a 4-over 292 on Monday and leads the tournament with a 583 total. They lead second-place Chattanooga by 22 shots.
