Jadyn Glasser Named to Comeback Player of the Year Watch List

After battling back from a season-ending injury, junior quarterback Jadyn Glasser is named to the Comeback Player of the Year Award Watch List.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.—Central Michigan junior quarterback Jadyn Glasser has been named to the preseason Watch List for the 2026 Comeback Player of the Year Award, presented annually by the College Sports Communicators in association with the Associated Press and Fiesta Sports Foundation, announced on Monday. Glasser is one of 94 college football student-athletes from around the nation.
Since 2018, the award has recognized college football student-athletes for overcoming injury, illness, or other circumstances. At the conclusion of each season, in a vote by a panel of college football writers, editors, and sports information directors, three college football student-athletes are honored as Comeback Player of the Year Award winners at the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl.
As a sophomore last year, Glasser suffered a season-ending injury which sidelined him for the final 11 games of the season. He has battled back and enters the 2026 season with much promise. In two years, six games, and three starts at quarterback for Central Michigan, Glasser has completed 48-85 passes (56.5 percent) for 517 yards, two touchdowns, four interceptions, 10.8 yards per completion, and 86.2 yards passing per game. As a freshman in 2025, he saw action in four games with three starts, he completed 41 of 76 passes (53.9 percent) for 439 yards and two touchdowns with a long of 55 yards and averaged 109.8 yards passing per game.
Central Michigan opens its 2026 football season at New Mexico on Saturday, Sept. 5 at 10 p.m. ET/8 p.m. MT. The Chippewas will host six home games, including five on Saturdays in September and October.
Season tickets can be purchased or renewed online at Ticket Central at www.cmuchippewas.com at this link, by calling the CMU Ticket Office at (989) 774-3045 or by e-mail at ticketcentral@cmich.edu. Advance single-game tickets are also now available. It is less expensive to purchase single game tickets in advance as ticket prices rise on game day.
