Home Promotional Schedule for Volleyball Released

Across the 12 home matches in the 2026 season, CMU Volleyball will host various promotions at games in McGuirk Arena.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – On September 2, 2026, Central Michigan Volleyball will open its home schedule in McGuirk Arena. The Chippewas will host 12 home matches throughout the season, eight of which will be Mid-American Conference matches.
On Monday afternoon, the team released its 2026 promotional schedule.
For its home opener against Oakland, CMU will host a match where the "wheel of winnings" will be available to fans to win various prizes at Fan Central. Prizes available include magnets, shirts, button packs and stadium cups. There will also be "point central" cards available to cheer on the Chippewas for every point scored through the match.
The second match of the Heart of the Mitt Invitational on September 4 will be held on National College Colors Day. Fans are encouraged to attend the game decked out in their best Maroon & Gold outfits and cheer on CMU against Illinois State. There will be maroon & gold pom-poms available to fans at Fan Central. The match starts at 4 p.m.
Against Illinois State and Michigan State on September 5, the Chippewas will celebrate Pride Day. The giveaway at the event will be pride buttons. There will be various organizations tabling at the match as well including various LGBTQ+ organizations. The two games are the final games of the Heart of the Mitt Invitational.
After a road stretch, CMU returns home to take on Eastern Michigan in its MAC opener on September 22. The event will be the Staff and Faculty Appreciation game as well as celebrating Hispanic Heritage night. Staff and faculty will need a valid ID for ticket purchase for a discount. Fans that purchase tickets to the 6:30 p.m. match can get discounted tickets ($7) if purchased in advance of game day. On match day, tickets will be $9 for fans. There will be point central cards as a giveaway at Fan Central as well as various organizations tabling on the concourse. Staff and faculty chosen by the student-athletes will be recognized pre-match showing gratitude for the impact they have.
On September 26, the Chippewas will host Ohio for a 5:30 p.m. start. The match will celebrate Youth Day for the community. With the purchase of an adult tickets, there are up to two free tickets available to kids 12 and under that attend the game. Fans can collect CMU Volleyball bracelets and stickers at Fan Central. There will also be a kids' raffle, the opportunity for kids to announce "point central" on the microphone and participate in a pre-game high five tunnel during team introductions. Following the game, the team will be available for autographs.
Central Michigan Volleyball will host its annual Pink Match/Breast Cancer Awareness match on October 14 against Kent State. Fans are encouraged to show up wearing their best pink outfits to cheer on the Chippewas. At Fan Central for the pink match, fans can get free pink pom-poms, breast cancer awareness ribbons, and pink Action C can koozies. Fans can also acknowledge their loved ones who have battled breast cancer with signs to write names on and tape around the arena.
The next day on October 15 at 4 p.m., the Chippewas take on Kent State for a series finale and will celebrate Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness. Fans will receive SCA awareness ribbons upon entrance.
On Halloween weekend, Central Michigan Volleyball will once again host "Volleyween". On Friday, October 30, the Chippewas will host Buffalo at 6:30 p.m.. Fan Central will have free Halloween candy, small Halloween items and gold/orange pom-poms. There will be a Halloween decorated kids' zone around the concourse. The 30th is also National Candy Corn Day, so there will be a "guess how many" game with a jar of candy corn as well at Fan Central.
On October 31, the actual celebration of the spooky day, CMU will close its series with Buffalo at 5:30 p.m. with the same promotions as Friday afternoon. Fans are encouraged to show up in their best Halloween costumes to celebrate.
The final two home matches of the season are scheduled for November 13 and 14 against Toledo and Western Michigan, respectively.
On Nov. 13, the match will start at 6:30 p.m. and the team will celebrate Hometown Heros night. Tickets purchased in advance will be $7 and on match day, $9 for active-duty service members, veterans, and first responders with presentation of a valid ID. There will be Maroon & Gold pom-poms as well as point central cards as giveaways at Fan Central.
The final match of the 2026 season in McGuirk Arena, against in-state rival, Western Michigan, will be senior night for the Chippewas. CMU Volleyball will also recognize the program's alumni on Saturday night. "Beat Western" rally towels, stickers, and temporary tattoos will be available at Fan Central. As part of Senior Day, Central Michigan will celebrate its lone senior, Jaliyah Chones.
Across the Mid-American Conference, November 1st-22nd, teams will be competing in a canned food drive. Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishables to the games to help CMU be victorious in the battle.
Schedule posters for the team will also be available at every match for fans at Fan Central.
Single game tickets are $12 each, but if purchased before the day of the match, fans can save $2 for a $10 ticket. Tickets can be purchased by contacting Ticket Central at: (989) 774-3045 or online.
