2025: Spent most of the season as Friday starter … led team with 12 starts (in 15 appearances) … tossed team-high 62 1/3 innings … went seven innings and earned the victory, his first in a CMU uniform, vs. Ohio (March 14).
Prior to CMU: Went 1-0 with a 13.19 earned run average, struck out 13 and walked 13 in 14 1/3 innings in 2024 at Cal State Dominguez Hills … in two seasons (2022-23) at Nebraska Wesleyan, went 6-8 with a 6.92 ERA in 24 appearances (20 starts) … struck out 89 and walked 62 in 104 career innings.
High School: Earned two letters at El Toro High School … father, Ruben, was an accomplished boxer who went 2-0 as a professional and who scored amateur victories over the likes of Oscar De La Hoya, Sugar Shane Mosley, and Rafeal Ruelas … grandfather, Lee Espinoza, is a member of the West Coast Boxing Hall of Fame.
