Former Central Michigan Field Hockey Goalkeeper Abigail Lucius has been named an assistant coach for CMU Field Hockey in Sept. 2023.
Lucius spent four years with Central Michigan Field Hockey, beginning in 2016 lasting until her graduation in 2020. In her career as a Chippewa, she started 25 of her 34 appearances, and tallied 259 saves. In the 2019 season she recorded a career high 18 saves against Michigan State (10/27).
Lucius’s return will be marked as her first collegiate coaching role. Since her graduation from Central Michigan with a degree in Exercise Science in 2020, she has worked as a Physical Therapy Technician in Owosso, Mich.
