Cody Crawford is in his third season at Central Michigan as an Offensive Quality Control Coach with the Chippewas’ offense.

Crawford joined the Central Michigan Football program in July 2021 after coaching for three years at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa. He served the 2019 and 2020 seasons as Allegheny’s Defensive Line Coach after coaching the running backs in 2018, and was promoted to Recruiting Coordinator before the 2020 season.

Crawford spent two years as the Running Backs Coach at the University of Indianapolis, where he helped guide the Greyhounds to the Great Lakes Valley Conference title, NCAA Division II playoff appearance and an undefeated regular season in 2017. He coached the GLVC Freshman of the Year and three First or Second Team all-conference running backs during his two-year tenure with the Greyhounds.

A native of East Lansing, Mich., Crawford earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise Science and Communication Studies from Albion College in 2015. Crawford earned four football letters at Albion, where he guided the Britons to two MIAA championships, two NCAA Division III playoff appearances as a wide receiver. Over his four-year career, he caught 100 passes for 1,200 yards receiving and tied a school-record for most touchdown receptions in a game. He served as team captain and earned the team’s Coaches’ award in 2014.
