Club: Competed for Triumph Lacrosse Club of Ann Arbor, Mich. and Michigan Cyclones of Brighton, Mich. … also spent three years with the national premier team
Personal: Daughter of Karen and Dana Katinas … has two older sisters, Katelyn and Sarah … lived in China for four years as a child … has ran three half marathons … father, Dana, wrestled at NCAA III Worcester Polytechnic Institute (MA) … mother, Karen, played soccer at NCAA III Keene State (NH) … sister, Sarah, played soccer at NCAA II Ferris State … enjoys cooking/baking, hiking, spending time with friends and at the beach
“Why CMU?”: “From the start, CMU gave me that feeling of possibility. Talking with coaches, I felt seen, being given a second opportunity to play at a school I looked at the first time around in the process just felt right. It felt like somewhere I had a place, not just a number on a roster. That really stuck with me. I could picture myself growing here, not only in lacrosse but in every area of my life.
“Another big part of it was the school itself. CMU has that bigger, more traditional college feel I was looking for. I wanted the full experience, both academically and athletically, and CMU offered that. A strong program, a connected team culture, and a campus community that felt exciting and supportive.”
