Why CMU?: “My father attended school here and urged me to contact them for lacrosse. Coach Ward noticed me at a showcase, invited me to visit, and I loved it right away.”
Story Time: “In July of 2022, my friend Carolyn and I were staying at my condo in Denver for a Denver University lacrosse camp. After the three days of Camp were over, we went on a hike with our moms. We were walking through a beautiful trail just outside Denver, enjoying nature and its beauty. All of a sudden, as we were walking, we heard a loud hiss followed by a rattle. Before I had time to register what I just heard, I felt something wrap tightly around my ankle. Without hesitation, I started sprinting as fast as I could while also kicking my foot behind me to release the pressure of what I then realized was a snake. I think the four of us ran close to a mile before we finally settled down and realized that the snake was no longer there. I always joke about this with them because they were more scared (after the fact) than I was, when I was the one who had the snake around my ankle. I always thank God that I had such quick reflexes, or else my encounter with the rattlesnake could have been much worse.”
