Christopher Gibson joined Central Michigan Athletics in September, 2023 and serves as the assistant director of student-athlete services.

Gibson works with the CMU football and wrestling programs, promoting academic success while monitoring continuing eligibility and meeting with prospective student-athletes on recruiting visits.

Gibson worked in a similar capacity at Virginia Tech during the 2022-23 academic year after serving as a middle school science teacher in North Carolina, as an adjunct biology instructor at Bethany (W.Va.) College, and as a graduate teaching assistant at West Virginia.

A native of Cyclone, W.Va., Gibson earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in exercise physiology from West Virginia in 2008 and a Master of Science in Sport Management from West Virginia in 2021.
