Zachary Lowe was promoted to be the department's Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Strategic Initiatives in Fall 2025. Lowe previously served the department as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and the Director of Compliance.

With his compliance duties, Lowe is responsible for ensuring coaches, staff, student-athletes and department affiliates are compliant with NCAA, MAC and university rules and regulations. He also oversees the department's monitoring and enforcement efforts. In his role, Lowe also works with department leadership on Strategic Initiatives.

A Jacksonville, Fla. native, Lowe earned his Juris Doctorate from Marquette University Law School in 2021. He also earned a Sports Law certificate from the National Sports Law Institute in 2021.

Lowe also earned a bachelor of arts degree with a major in political science from Bethany (W. Va.) College, where he was a four-year starter in football and an Academic All-American. He was named the Bethany College Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2018 and served for four years on the department's Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Lowe completed internships in the athletic department at Army West Point, Eastern Michigan and Cincinnati.

He resides in Mount Pleasant with his wife Bria.
