2024 (Outdoor): Competed in six meets in the Shot Put and Hammer Throw … set a season best of 13.17m in the Shot Put at the Billy Hayes Invitational (May 3) … set a personal best in the Hammer Throw of 39.97m at the Chippewa Challenge (April 13)

2024 (Indoor): Competed in six meets in the Shot put and Weight Throw … set a season best of 12.03m in the Shot Put at the SVSU Jet’s Pizza Invitational (Jan. 26-27) … set a personal best of 15.02m in the weight throw at the SVSU Holiday Open and Multis (Dec. 1-2)

High School: Personal Records: Shot put (11.55m), discus (25.45) … earned all-state and all-conference accolades in shot put in 2023 … competed with Grass Lake High School to win Cascades Conference Track & Field Championship in 2023 … also lettered in golf and basketball.

Personal: Daughter of Susan and Derek Risner … has a younger brother, Derek Jr. … aspires to become an orthopedic surgeon … Fun facts: “I always have to wear socks that cover up my ankles when I play any sport, even if I’m just going to the gym my ankles need to be covered.”

Why CMU?: “I liked the atmosphere of CMU and the amount of opportunity that was included in attending here. It was the best fit for me and my career options.”
