Zach Hendrickson joined coach Mike Gawlik’s Central Michigan volleyball coaching staff as an assistant in May, 2022.
Hendrickson served as a graduate assistant in 2021 at South Carolina, helping the Gamecocks to an NCAA Tournament berth. He coordinated the program’s summer camps and assisted in all day-to-day operations of the program.
Hendrickson served as a manager with the American Volleyball Coaches Association and as a volleyball camp coach at his alma mater, Brigham Young, from 2017-19.
In his first year on staff, the 2022 Chippewas returned to the Mid-American Conference Tournament for the first time in seven seasons. The Chippewas finished in third place both in the regular season and the tournament. Central Michigan also made an appearance in the NIVC tournament.
Hendrickson earned a Bachelor of Science with a major in public health/health promotion from Brigham Young in May, 2021. He was a member of the Cougar men’s volleyball team that twice won Mountain Pacific Sports Federation championships, was an NCAA runner-up in 2021, and a national semifinalist in 2018. He was also an alternate in 2018 on the USA Under-21 Junior National Team.
Zach married his wife Hannah in the spring of 2022.
