Earned third team All-America honors in 2007 … named the 2007 Mid-American Conference Pitcher of the Year, one of three CMU players to earn the honor … named first team All-MAC in 2007 and second team in 2006 and in 2005 … selected for the All-Mideast region team in 2007 … named a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American in 2005 … named team MVP in 2006 and in 2007 … when he left CMU, he held the program record for career strikeouts with 288 … also ranks in CMU’s career top 10 in wins (24), decisions (34), innings pitched (4), and earned run average (2.63) … finished the 2007 season with the second-most strikeouts in program history (117) … named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District IV second team in 2007 … selected to the Academic All-MAC team in 2006 and in 2007 … drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2007 … made his major league debut in 2011 and pitched seven seasons in the major leagues.
