MOUNT PLEASANT--Central Michigan University football player Brian Leigeb (Midland/Sr.) was named the Mid-American Conference "Defensive Player of the Week."
Leigeb had 13 tackles (10 unassisted) in the Chippewas' 21-17 win over Western Michigan University on Nov. 11. He also had one interception that he returned for 26 yards.
Leigeb and the Chippewas wrap up the 2000 campaign at Northern Illinois on Nov. 18.
