Mount Pleasant, Mich. - Central Michigan University senior tailback Eric Flowers (Trenton, N.J.) was one of three Chippewas chosen as "Players of the Week" following the 38-19 Mid-American Conference (MAC) win at the University at Buffalo.
Flowers rushed for 219 yards on 42 carries and scored a career-high four touchdowns in powering CMU to victory. He was also selected in Central's other win this season, a 33-17 triumph over Eastern Illinois.
The defensive pick for the second straight week was Abdullah Muhammad (Kentwood/East Lansing). He had five solo and two assisted tackles as well as a pass breakup.
The choice on special teams was freshman Cullen Jenkins (Belleville) who had two solo tackles and one assisted stop.
Scout team players of the week were freshman receiver Jesse Blair (Fraser) and defensive back Donovan Russian (Sanford/Meridian).
