Liphardt Earns MAC Honor

MOUNT PLEASANT--Central Michigan University gymnast Nicole Liphardt (Ajax, Ontario/Sr.) was named the Mid-American Conference "Scholar Athlete of the Week."

Liphardt helped the Chippewas to a school record score of 195.825 in a dual meet win over Western Michigan on Saturday. She tied the school record on the bars for the second time this season with a 9.90. Liphardt also took top honors on the floor exercise with a 9.90. She also placed second in the all-around (39.275) and third on the beam (9.825).
