Football Picked Fourth In MAC West Division

DETROIT--The Central Michigan University football team was picked to finish fourth in the Mid-American Conference's West Division in the annual MAC News Media Association Preseason Poll.
The poll was conducted on Tuesday morning at the MAC Football Media Day held at Cobo Hall in Detroit.
Toledo was selected to win the West Division with 45 first-place votes and 408 points. Following the Rockets were Western Michigan (328 points), Northern Illinois (293), Central Michigan (240), Eastern Michigan (214) and Ball State (154).
Marshall is once again the team to beat in the East Division after receiving 45 first-place votes and 403 points. Akron (310 points), Miami (305), Ohio (281), Bowling Green (188), Kent State (126) and Buffalo (66) rounded out the voting in the East.
The MAC championship game is set for Dec. 2 at Marshall Stadium in Huntington, W.Va. The game will be televised live by ABC.
