Chippewas Lose Gridder

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Central Michigan University head football coach Mike DeBord announced Friday that sophomore wide receiver Jammarl O'Neal would not be a member of the Chippewa football squad this fall.
"Jammarl did not fulfill NCAA requirements and won't play football for us," DeBord said. "We wish him well."
The Riviera Beach, Fla., product shattered school and Mid-American Conference (MAC) receiving marks for freshmen in 1999 when he caught 59 passes for 1,084 yards. He was named third team Freshman All-America by The Sporting News.
