Softball Falls To Oregon State

LAS VEGAS, Nev. -Central Michigan fell to Oregon State by a 5-1 count in its second game in the UNLV Classic on Friday night.
Oregon State got four runs in the second inning to cruise to the win.
The Chippewas scored their lone run in the seventh inning when Michelle Brander and Karly McCormack both singled and Wendy Stephens singled to drive in Brander. CMU left the bases loaded in the inning.
Starter Jenni Rasmussen took the loss for the Chippewas. She gave up four runs (three earned) and four hits in 1 1/3 innings of action.
Stephens came in for the final 5 2/3 innings and gave up three hits and one unearned run.
CMU (1-1) takes on Cal Poly and Utah on Saturday.
