Public Invited To Spring Football Game

MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan University head football coach Mike DeBord has opened the gates and encourages the public to attend the Chippewas' final scrimmage of the spring this Saturday, April 21.
Kickoff in Kelly/Shorts Stadium is set for 2 p.m. There is no charge.
"We've appreciated the great fan support we've had in the past and hope we get a nice crowd this Saturday," said DeBord, CMU's second-year head coach.
The Chippewas will take part in a controlled scrimmage under game-like conditions.
Central Michigan opens the 2001 season on Thursday, Aug. 30, with a home game against Eastern Kentucky at 7:30 p.m. The Chippewas then venture to East Lansing to play Michigan State on Saturday, Sept. 8.
