Volleyball Falls To Marshall, 3-0

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall University Thundering Herd tallied 10 total blocks and held Central Michigan to a .097 hitting percentage in a 3-0 Marshall victory on Saturday afternoon in Huntington. Game scores were 30-25, 30-22, and 30-25.
No Chippewa player tallied a double figure kill total as CMU posted 39 kills and 26 errors in 134 attempts.
The Thundering Herd improve to 17-7 overall, 8-3 in the MAC while the Chippewas fall to 9-16 overall, 5-7 in MAC play.
Kendra DeVries, Emily Lovejoy, and Tamara Fant each had seven kills. Shaleene Glombowski had 31 assists and three block assists.
Ali McCrite had a team-high 14 digs for CMU and Jennifer Brink added 10. Grace Jones and Nicole Michal each had 11 kills in the MU victory. Heidi Kuethe posted 12 digs and six total blocks.
Central Michigan returns home for a non-conference match next Tuesday, November 5, when CMU hosts Oakland in Rose Arena at 7 p.m.
