Stephens Earns Conference Honor

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Central Michigan softball pitcher Wendy Stephens (Mira Loma, Calif./Sr.) garnered the Mid-American Conference's West Division ?Pitcher of the Week? honors.

Stephens went 2-0 with a 0.50 ERA against Ball State last weekend, tossing a shutout in the Chippewas' 1-0 victory on Saturday. The win improved Stephens' all-time record to 6-0 against the Cardinals with a 0.36 ERA and four shutouts. In 14 innings of work, Stephens walked only one batter. She allowed 11 hits and just one run and struck out three opponents.

The Chippewas return to action with a doubleheader at Oakland on Wednesday, March 27. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
