"When you are minus three in turnovers, you are not going to beat anybody, no matter who you play," coach Mike DeBord said. "We turned it over our first two possessions and gave them 10 points. We made it tough on ourselves."
BC racked up 525 yards of total offense compared to just 242 for CMU. The Eagles gained 330 yards through the air and 195 on the ground. The Chippewas had 154 yards rushing and a mere 88 via the air.

Central got the ball first but lost a fumble deep in its own territory giving BC an easy 27-yard field goal by Sandro Sciortino.
The Chippewas fumbled again on their next possession, giving the Eagles the ball near midfield where they started a 58-yard drive that ended in Burke's first TD catch of the game.
Down 10-0 early, CMU drove back 57 yards on its next drive to the BC 23-yard line, but Mike Gruzwalski came up short on a 40-yard field goal attempt.

Sciortino added field goals of 27 and 34 yards in the second half and Knight and Horace Dodd each had touchdown runs to complete the scoring.
