Teft Earns MAC Gymnast of the Week Honors

Cleveland, Ohio-In only her second meet as a Central Michigan University athlete, senior Katie Teft (Grand Rapids) scored a perfect 10.0 on bars. Teft, a UMass transfer, set a career-high and school record with the 10.
With her efforts, the Chippewas posted a school-best 49.400 on the bars to defeat Northern Illinois and Pittsburgh in a triangular meet.
The 10 was only the third perfect mark in CMU history. The previous 10.0s were recorded on the vault in 2001.
Teft was the first gymnast in MAC history to record a 10 on bars.
