Gymnastics Sweeps Each Event And Takes First At WMU Triangular

Kalamazoo--The Central Michigan University gymnastics team (13-1, 2-0 Mid-American) posted a season-high 195.450 en route to a first-place finish at the Western Michigan Triangular this afternoon.
Illinois State finished second with a 193.025 while WMU finished third with a 193.000.
Sara Burtinsky won the all-around with a 39.125. Shanna Duggan and Kara Reighard placed second and third in the all-around with scores of 39.025 and 38.860, respectively.
A CMU gymnast placed first in each event at the meet.
On vault, Duggan and Reighard tied for first with a 9.825. Mattie Crawford took third with a 9.750.
On bars, Burtinsky tied for first with ISU's Denise Houda with a 9.825.
Michele Orloski won the beam posting a 9.900.
Sarah Dame and Orloski tied for first on the floor exercise with a 9.900 while Reighard placed third with a 9.875.
CMU takes on Kent State on February 14 in Kent, Ohio. The meet is set for 7 p.m.
