Jaksa Completes Baseball Coaching Staff

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Central Michigan University baseball coach Steve Jaksa completed his coaching staff for the 2004 season with the hiring of Brad Stromdahl as an assistant.
Stromdahl comes to CMU from Marshall University where he spent one season as a volunteer assistant. He also was the head coach this past summer of the Wilson Tobs of the Coastal Plain League.
"Brad is a fine addition to our staff," said Jaksa who enters his second season in charge of Chippewa baseball. "He has head coaching experience and has excellent knowledge of hitting."
A catcher during his collegiate days at Bethany Lutheran College(Mankato, MN) and Southwest State University (Marshall, MN), Brad will work with the infielders as well as the hitters.
Stromdahl (born April 12, 1977) graduated from Southwest State in 2002 with a degree in business management and then earned his masters in education from Southwest State in 2003.
Born in Wisconsin, Brad grew up in California where he attended Justin/Siena High in Napa. He then moved back to Wisconsin where he graduated from Lakeland Union High in Minocqua in 1995.

Jaksa also announced the signing infielder Ryan Peel to a national letter-of-intent.
Peel, a native of Ottawa, Ontario, is a 5-11, 175-pounder who played the past two seasons at Monroe Community College in Rochester, N.Y.
"He's an outstanding fielder who hit well this past summer," Jaksa said.
Peel batted .330 in a wooden bat league in New York, and has the ability to play second, short and third.
