OXFORD, Ohio - Miami used 11 team blocks to hold Central Michigan University to a .047 hitting percentage in a 3-0 RedHawk victory on Saturday night in Millett Hall.
Game scores were 30-25, 30-21, 30-24.
The Chippewas' .047 mark was its second-lowest this season and CMU didn't hit better than .054 in any game.
Miami, on the otherhand, hit .295 for the night, including a .412 mark in game two.
Chippewas Meghan Moore and Melanie Klein each posted 10 kills and three block assists for 11.5 points each.
Jesse Miller notched six kills and a pair of blocks.
CMU's career kills leader, Emily Lovejoy, was held to a career-low-tying three kills on a -.053 attack percentage.
Jaimeson Whitman handed out 18 assists and Courtney Kersten added 11. Ali McCrite led CMU's defense with 10 digs.
Two Miami players tallied 10 kills each, Carli Reihman and Tara Buroker. Both players tallied double-doubles with 14 digs for Reihman and 12 for Buroker. Lauren Slusser added six block assists for the RedHawks.
CMU falls to 6-18 overall, 3-10 in the MAC while Miami ups its record to 7-14 overall, 5-7 in league play.
The Chippewas return home to host Oakland on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
