Smith hit Justin Gardner with a third-quarter, 11-yard scoring pass. Jerry Seymour led the Chippewas with 81 yards on 20 carries.
Seymour, who now has 1,066 yards this season, also caught four passes for 42 yards. I challenged our team at halftime to come out and play better in the second half and that's exactly what we did."
The Chippewas close the 2004 campaign with a home game on Saturday, Nov. 20, against Ball State. Kickoff is set for 1 p.n.
