Jim Geldhof Gains More Recognition

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Central Michigan University senior third baseman Jim Geldhof is one of 58 players to make the 2005 Wallace Watch list released by the College Baseball Foundation.

The award goes annually to the national college baseball player of the year.

The Troy High product hit .427 in 2004 with nine homers and 68 to earn second team All-American honors. He was also a second team preseason All-American selection for 2005 by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.

Geldhof is the only player from the Mid-American Conference and the state of Michigan to be on the list.
