KALAMAZOO -- Rival Western Michigan University swept a three-game set from the Central Michigan University volleyball team on Saturday night in Kalamazoo. Game scores were 30-26, 30-22 and 30-21.
The Chippewa offense struggled to a .089 hitting percentage while the Broncos hit an efficient .352.
Emily Lovejoy led the Chippewas with 15 kills while Meghan Moore added 10 kills and three total blocks. Melanie Klein notched three kills and three total blocks.
WMU countered with a balanced attack of three players in double figures in the kills department.
Jaimeson Whitman set the CMU offense with 32 assists and Ali McCrite notched a team high nine digs.
The Chippewas will get a chance for revenge this Friday, Nov. 12, when the Broncos travel to Mount Pleasant for the conference finale. First serve is set for 7 p.m. The Chippewas close out the regular season on Saturday against Valparaiso.
