CMU Gymnasts Defeat Bowling Green

Central Michigan University women's gymnastics team defeated Bowling Green in it's first Mid-American Conference meet of the season by a score of 194.675-190.900.
Senior Sara Burtinsky led CMU, placing first on bars and winning the all-around competition with a score of a 39.000.
"Sara is right where she needs to be," said head coach Jerry Reighard. "She's going to continue to do well in competition."
Chippewa freshman Rhiannon Banda-Scott and sophomore Sheena Smith tied for first place on vault with a score of 9.750.
CMU gymnasts Kara Reighard, senior, and Danielle Espinoza, freshman, tied for first on beam with a score of 9.800.
Reighard also placed first on floor exercise (9.900) and second in the all-around competion (38.125).
CMU will travel to Western Michigan on Sunday, Jan. 30, at 2 p.m. for it's second MAC meet of the season.
